Bishop Brothers Public House is an award winning gastropub with a pokies gaming lounge in the Bishopdale area of Christchurch. The pub is named after the three Bishop brothers who were among the first European settlers in the area.
Since the soil was fertile after flooding by the river, they cultivated apples and pears in the orchards of the area. Later a shopping mall was developed in the area and the region has grown over the years into a wonderful region to visit.

The pub was constructed as a place of enjoyment, fun and opened on April 13, 2016 . The decor of the pub has a retro theme of an apple pack house to reflect the history of the area where it is located. The furniture is made from solid wood and it has funky seating.
The gastropub is located at 119, Farrington avenue in Bishopdale, Christchurch. Stackhouse avenue, Raleigh street, Eastling street, Armitage street, Newmark street, Harewood road are some of the main streets and roads in the area. A parking lot is available for customers vehicles and they can also park their vehicles on the roads in the venue area also.
The pub has a courtyard where customers can have their meals outdoors. It also has a number of big screens installed for sports lovers to watch their favorite UFC, soccer, rugby, cricket, NRL and other sports matches. TAB facility is available for those who wish to place a few wagers.
The gaming lounge has eighteen gaming machines which use the latest Lightning Link technology from Aristocrat. On every Tuesday quiz nights are held from 7 pm onward. Customers can also enjoy live music on weekends and other days.

Menu and Eats to Mention
The club has a very extensive menu with brunch or lunch served till 3 pm. This includes the kiwi breakfast (best brekky in Bishopdale), seafood chowder, eggs Benedict, beef crispy noodle salad, beef burger, corn fritters stack, beer battered fish and chips, chicken tortilla, chicken schnitzel, bangers and mash, pasta of the day of many options.
The starters for the dinner menu are flat bread, cob bread with a sourdough loaf, chicken satay skewers, seafood chowder, arancini balls, pan fried chicken dumplings. The burgers available are chicken, beef and vegetarian stack. Customers can choose from chicken salad and salmon Nicoise salad of many options.
The pizza and pastas available are beef lasagna, carbonara penne pasta, meat lovers pizza, apricot chicken pizza, vegetarian pizza. Seafood available is pan fried crumbed gurnard and crispy skin Atlantic salmon. The roast of the day, crispy pork belly, honey soy thigh chicken, lamb rack, BBQ ribs are some of the meat dishes.
The char grilled steaks are cooked according to the customer requirement and served with pepper, flaky salt, sauce and other items. Customers can choose from 300 g Angus Rump, 300 g Flintstone Rib-eye, and Beef eye fillet.
Desserts available are sticky date pudding, apple strudel, cheesecake of the day, lemon tart, ice cream sundae in chocolate, caramel, strawberry and passion fruit flavors.
