The club is actually one of the largest voluntary welfare organisations in the whole of New Zealand. The club boasts a restaurant and full bar, and private membership grants full access to all it’s facilities.
Food, Bar & Menu Overview
The club features a restaurant that offers a-la-carte dining alongside a fully stocked bar that offers a range of beers, wines and spirits.
Food is served at different times throughout the day, and also varies depending on the day; Whakatane serves lunch between 12 to 1:30pm on Tuesday to Friday, or between 11:30-1pm on a Saturday.
Alternatively, the dinner menu is served between 6pm-8pm on Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday or between 6pm-9pm on a Thursday and Friday. NB – These times may change.
Their main lunch menu consists of classics such as the popular bangers and mash, or platters of beef nachos with cheese and sauces, and their dinner menu offers tender steaks, lamb shanks and lighter options such as a seafood salad.
